Boston - May 2009

I flew to Boston after the LA Salsa Congress to surprise Mom.  Erin and I pulled off the surprise, much to our astonishment...she didn't suspect a thing when I knocked on the door yelling, "housekeeping!"

Brenden is tolerating auntie time...

I'm totally going to do something naughty behind Mommy's back when she's least expecting it...

I win!  The chair's all mine now!

Grandma and Auntie Lindsay will get in trouble later when Erin sees proof that he stood on the furniture!

Downtown Boston for some afternoon shopping...

Are you guys done shopping yet?!

Seriously?  Are you done yet?  Take me back to the hotel!

David and Susanna's post-Que Rico Mambo BBQ - May 2009

My dear friends, David and Susanna, hosted a post-Que Rico Mambo celebration BBQ at their home.  A welcome break for all of us to spend a Sunday afternoon like this, instead of being trapped inside Chelsea Studios for rehearsal!

Luis's Bday - March 2009

The Salsa International crew celebrated Luis's 32nd bday after our Tango performance earlier that evening...good food, good wine and a little fun with Catch Phrase.

Gina brought a very tasty cake!

Unfortunately we have to face the reality that no cake will hold enough candles for our ages anymore...boo!

Mike can't believe the boys are losing so badly at Catch Phrase!

Don't even think about taking my cake or I will stab you with my fork!

This game brought the...er...competitive side of me, to put it mildly...

New Years Weekend 2008

Leia and I rang in midnight on New Years Eve at a salsa party in Astoria, Queens, after which we trekked into the city in the FREEZING COLD temperatures.  I almost cried after a mere two minutes waiting for a cab...and I'm fairly certain I got frostbite on my very exposed toes!  Oh well...nothing a good drink couldn't clear up later.  :)

Our post-Astoria trekking eventually led us to Tribeca Hotel.

Later in the weekend, I experienced my first Burlesque show at the lower eastside's Slipper Room.  Leia's friend from San Francisco had a show that night.  And I thought salsa costumes could get skimpy!

Getting ready for Xmas - December 2008

Hot stuff in my Yankees bib...I know how to suck up to Auntie Lindsay!

Fun in the bathtub....

Round two of Brenden's first bday - December 2008

We celebrated Brenden's first bday again later that day at Grandma and Grandpa Garrett's house.  Brenden accomplished a little less smearing around of the cupcakes this time around.

Hands down favorite gift for his bday.  Good luck when he asks for the real thing someday!  Blame Auntie Heather for that one!

Yeah...I'm the man...got my own chair and everything!

Hmmm....do I want to cry...I think I might want to, but I'm distracted looking at my new horsey...

Oh wait...now I'll cry...Grandpa, get this icky food off my face!!!

Christmas Day and the rest of the Xmas wknd - December 2008

Xmas morning...aren't I adorable in my Xmas sleeper?!

Playing with Dad...so many new toys to choose from!

Dad, I'm ticklish!!!!

Ah...the horsey makes me sooo happy!!

Two little devils...

Mom...do I REALLY have to wear the Xmas sweater?!

Auntie Heather is such sucker!

Hehehe...I have her wrapped around my little pinky...so easy!

Watch out for that drum set next year at Xmas!
